Philip Edwards III spent years playing a detective on a hit television show. When his show suddenly gets cancelled, he applies to a police department. Turns out they need him to tackle a very specific mission, and he now has to get dirt on his Hollywood hotshot ex-boss. Things start to go haywire when he gets assigned a bitter partner who is annoyed by everything Philip does and says.
