Inspectors Schmücke and Schneider investigate in the case of the murder of an architect. Dieter Fritsch was beaten to death in his apartment. There is nothing that would suggest a burglary and all traces indicate that he knew his murderer. The suspect is Mira Bruns, who found the dead man. But the renewed examination of the crime scene gives the case an unexpected turn.
