The skeleton of Max Kramer has been found, who disappeared 13 years ago. Max's mother is convinced that his wife had killed him at that time. Inspector Beck finds more and more proof, that point to Lucie Kramer as the main suspect. But the longer Beck talks to the distraught woman, the more he becomes aware of the unspeakable suffering of this violent drinkers wife before she murdered him.
