While on the road to Kuchiba City, Satoshi, Kasumi, Takeshi, and Pikachu come across an alone Hitokage sitting on a rock. It is slowly dying from waiting for so long. It wants to stay and wait so Satoshi and the gang head to the Pokemon Centre. In the Pokemon Centre a hotshot trainer named Daisuke is bragging about how he left his Hitokage behind, promising to come back for it when he means to abandon it for being to weak.
