MAKE AND DO
How to Make Ice Boats
You will need:
- Recycled plastic containers
- A blob of tac
- Straws
- Water
- Food colouring or paint
- Coloured paper
- Safety scissors Tape
Stick a blob of tac in the centre of a recycled plastic container.
Poke a plastic straw into the tac, so it stands upright like a mast.
Fill the container with water, almost to the top.
Add a couple of drops of food colouring and mix to combine.
Cut a shape, such as a triangle, circle or moon, from a piece of coloured paper and tape to the straw for a sail.
Place the boat in the freezer until the coloured water has frozen
Remove the ice boats from their containers and sail them in a water trough or in the bath.
