Piet matroosSteve has a bad toot but is afraid to have it pulled out. Berend insists to do it 'the pirate way', tied with a rope to a door, but as Steven remains afraid, Piet orders a demonstration. Berend moet studerenBerend astonishes Piet and the crew-mates with his shocking ignorance of nautical terms, so captain Piet orders him to study a thick book. Piet is surprised at night by a masked thief who steals the book, to Berend's relief ending his dreary sailor course, but the intruder's apprehension and identification is followed by an accidentally betrayed, equally shocking plot. - Het superzaadE14
Het superzaadPirate captain Piet and his mates make fun of Berend, who returns from ashore shopping with food supplies and a 'magic seed', which supposedly grows into a whole vegetable over night. Stubborn Berend falls asleep while watching it not growing at all. Steven pities him and 'plants' a cabbage, so it appears to have grown. He'll regret that mild prank after the gullible cook's next shopping episode. - Het circusE17
Het circusPiet, Berend and Stien beam after attending a circus on land, which only adds to Steven's gloom, having missed it being punished with chores for kitchen clumsiness. The others try in turn to imitate a circus act, but utterly fail, so Piet must grant Steven a go at the agreed prize, a cake. - De haaiE18
De haaiPirate captain Piet's ship anchors in Haaienbaai, a bay name referring to when it was still shark-infested. He and his mates pretend to Berend, who wants to take a swim, it still is, but he bravely persists with a lookout. Steven takes the mean prank further by scaring Berend with a shark-fin on his back. The crew mates congratulate him with mixed feelings, as that would leave their tiny ship decapitated, yet Berend even prepares a last meal for Piet's trip to his new crew. The mates make fun of the name he gave the bird, Kaka (Dutch infantile term for shit) instead of traditional Coco, and return to work. They are sloppy, so Piet calls each one to order, but each believes he adds the gross phrase "Dumb pirate". Only once the crew protest collectively, the truth becomes clear. - KannibalensoepE22
KannibalensoepPiet has acquired a skeleton to study anatomy. It inspires Berend to cook his 'cannibal soup'. Steven wants to bounce his ball but keeps being sent away, so he ends up in the hold with the skeleton, which he knocks off and shatters. PiratengolfPiet eagerly practices his new hobby: 'pirate golf', aboard the ship, but refuses to let the shipmates come near his brand new clubs. The rest of the crew protests, in vain, when cook Berend refuses to put meatballs in the daily soup. Vexed, he decides to prove them wrong the hard way. Berend collects his money back by making everyone trip over a banana peel, even after Piet realizes his game. Goudstukken gestolenOnly mute Steven is shown that Stien hides the purse with all his saved gold coins in a wicker basket. Unsuspecting cook Berend takes it for dumping kitchen garbage. Pirate captain Piet points out when she cries theft that only his crew mates had access aboard at sea, she that only Steven knew, so the sole suspect is tied-up 'till he talks'. Piet orders his crew to build a pen for ten birds, which proves hard works and painful for Stven's thumbs, worse he even ends up caught inside as they forgot to design a door. Cook Berend's milky porridge is no comfort, except for Steven, who isn't bothered by the stingy insects either.
