Following the exposure of Project Butterfly and the disbandment of Task Force X, the 11th Street Kids grapple with new identities, new friendships, and new rivalries. For Peacemaker, this means reconciling his past with his newfound sense of purpose — here and in an alternate dimension. Meanwhile, Rick Flag Sr. reappears as the director of A.R.G.U.S., focused on controlling metahumans and avenging the death of his son at the hands of Peacemaker.

- Dragonbearwizard4. maj 2026peacemaker season 2 is an improvement over the first season, many characters actually get some development and closure. it's a shame peacemaker himself remains a stupid gorilla till the end and they milk his crush on hardcort for all it's worth, some of the scenes between them are charming but contribute nothing to the overall plot and feels like timefiller, episode 7 felt like a perfect conclusion, while episode 8 was purely to setup the next big mystery. i liked the happy ending for the team though, they even threw vigilante a bone this time in the form of a chronic weirdo that entertains his insufferably one dimensional personality. still the whole series is whimsical fun, nothing all that substantial. american level philosophy, friendship is magic type sh*t.
- Arniox26. december 2025Second season 2 didn't feel as good, or paced as well, or action packed enough like the first season. It fell flat in a lot of eras for me. And felt a bit of a chore to watch through some of the episodes. It was a unique, very character driven season so I'll give Gunn that, but it was almost too much and it felt like peacemaker himself started loosing his identity.
- Hipster ZOMBIE10. oktober 2025Season 2 of Peacemaker is proof that even the most charismatic cast can’t save a script that’s running on fumes and creativity bankrupt. At no fault to the actors—who all bring their A-game—this season crashes and burns thanks to the weak storytelling and even weaker dialogue crafted by James Gunn. Gunn’s worst habits are in full bloom here: every emotional beat gets kneecapped by an awkward, badly timed punchline, and the endless parade of f-bombs (seriously, over a hundred or more in one season) doesn’t make it edgy—it makes it lazy. His bag of tricks is starting to look awfully shallow without a studio like Marvel Studios or The Walt Disney Company reining him in. He desperately wants this to be like his version of The Boys. Like how director Zack Snyder wanted his Justice League to be like Watchmen. These “creators” are chasing someone else’s ideas instead of just investing the smorgasbord of rich history surrounding the DC Universe and its characters. Bottom line? Season 2 isn’t bold. It’s just loud, crude, and kind of exhausting. Not to mention insulting. If this was the big follow up to Superman I think this new DCU will have a very short half-life.
