Aracy is a young employee of the Brazilian Consulate in Hamburg. She helped Jews obtain visas to flee to Brazil, despite the Nazis'' growing animosity toward Jews.

Episode 1João Guimarães Rosa is sent to Hamburg and is introduced to Aracy at the consulate. The repression of Jews increases. Vivi is bothered by young Nazis, but Zumkle makes them stop.

Episode 2The murder of a German diplomat by a Jew leads to Crystal Night. Helena tries to convince Vivi to spy on SS officers. Rudi is arrested. João discovers Aracy's scheme.

Episode 3Zumkle promises Vivi that he will free his father. The captain follows Aracy and discovers that she is helping Hugo and Margarethe. João and Aracy are observed by Zumkle.

Episode 4Zumkle takes advantage of the expropriation of non-Aryan businesses. Vivi decides to help Helena by getting information for the resistance. Zumkle makes a false complaint against João.

Episode 5Gestapo investigates Hardner and João. Vivi seduces Schaffer to get information. Zumkle tries to force Aracy a kiss; she hits him. Schaffer discovers that Vivi is Jewish.

Episode 6Rudi and Helena participate in a frustrated attack on Goebbels at the Embassy of Portugal, where Aracy and João were. A bomb hits the Brazilian consulate.

Episode 7Hamburg is under constant air attack. João helps Mina's son, who returned from the traumatized war front. Aracy asks Zumkle for help, who wants something in return.

Episode 8Hardner, Aracy and João plan Rudi's escape. Zumkle is determined to end the plan and follows João. Aracy and João are arrested and return to Brazil after forced exile.
