Meanwhile, Tom wanders away from the canvassing group and uses his own creative recruitment tactics.

The ReporterLeslie arranges for a reporter to do a story about her park project, but she and her committee have the worst time staying on topic. She then calls Mark to help her save the story, but it ends up hurting more than helping. Meanwhile, Tom does all he can to suck up to his boss.

Boys' ClubLeslie tries to infiltrate the boys' club of politics by crashing an after-work gathering at the town hall. Trying to fit in, she opens a gift basket breaking the local government ethics, and then is called before an ethics committee.

The BanquetAt a banquet honouring her mother, Leslie tries to convince a local zoning official to support her park project. But sensing resistance, Lesie resorts to blackmail. Meanwhile, Tom and Mark ditch the festivities to hit the bars.
