An alien, whose ship crashed, enters the philology department teacher Semyonov, the most spineless creature on the planet. To his horror, the alien learns that humanity is burning oil, which was created by scientists from their more advanced civilization as a cure for all diseases. He wants to warn his "fellow tribesmen" so that together they can cleanse the Earth of "human pests". But to do this, he needs to repair the ship in a quiet place. However, he is not allowed privacy by Semyonov's daughter Alyona, his ex-wife Katya, the dean, the commandant-ufologist and a strong passion for his colleague Anna Mikhaylovna.
