"Based on the popular series of novels by Elena Mikhalkova "Investigations of Makar Ilyushin and Sergei Babkin." Tired of family life and the tyranny of her husband, Victoria takes a vacation and travels from Samara to St. Petersburg. There she goes to an exhibition where an old ring is on display, and just at that moment the ring is stolen and thrown into her bag. Victoria finds the stolen jewelry and hides it. She wants to go to the police, but she is kidnapped by two thugs. The tramp Slavik comes to the rescue and hides Vika in an abandoned house, assuring that now the entire city police are looking for her... Meanwhile, Victoria's concerned husband turns to Makar Ilyushin and Sergei Babkin with a request to find her. Private detectives will have to stand in the way of a powerful crime boss who seeks to find her first..."
