- Oliver GilesSeptember 21, 2025As a fan of TheOdd1sOut over on YouTube, I really wanted to like Oddballs. However, it just never really clicked for me. That’s partly because, just like with Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun, coincidentally another Netflix offering, what works in a 2 - 5 minute YouTube video doesn’t always translate over to an 18 minute episode of TV. I’ll also admit that I am not in the correct audience for the show’s humor as, while TheOdd1sOut channel on YouTube isn’t ever really 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵 per say, the humor in the Netflix show is noticeably tamer than what it is based on. There are some definite positives I can give the show, the animation carries over James’ style very well and most of the voice acting is really good, but overall I wasn’t the biggest fan of Oddballs.
