Lieutenant Elena Bazhenova, while studying at law school, worked as an escort in the evenings to pay for treatment for her sick mother. Major Olga Kirsanova, an experienced hereditary police officer, had a nervous breakdown after being accused of murdering her husband, and not everything was smooth in her married life.
