Soviet pilot Andrey Perevezyev brilliantly shoots down three fascist planes, but he himself crashes and lands in the forest. Despite being wounded, he cunningly manages to liquidate a group of Germans sent to search for him, capture "language" and even save the Soviet journalist Veniamin, who was caught by the Nazis. Together they go to a hospital hidden in the forest. However, neither Andrei nor the patients suspect what danger hangs over the hospital...
