Chris mistakes a blackout for lack of interest from his buddy, who wasn't informed about his police hearing, which results in a fine and, worse, license suspension. Lucas tries to cheer him up by playing basketball. Just then arrives Paul, whom Kate had made reconsider whether to continue prosecuting Chris, after Sophie woke up and assumed sole responsibility. Assuming Chris isn't really heartbroken, he resumes the legal charges.
