Bertil Möller is coming home to his father for a short visit, after being away eight years as a sailor. Nils Möller has prepared some surprises for his son, including a visit of his former best friend Olle. But the reunion doesn't turn out the way Nils Möller has expected. The three of them have drifted apart during all these years. Their general views on life, what to strive for and how to live, are now very different.
