Peru 1997. On the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, 34-year-old Ursula Glück is shot in her tent at night and subsequently dies in the hospital. Her Israeli husband, Jona Kepler, on honeymoon with the German woman, is forced to testify to the police in Munich. When Detective Inspector Rita Berg questions him, she becomes suspicious. But the case is explosive, and they want to avoid international attention.
