A sudden visitor, Kaoru, arrives at Mitsuya’s home. Upon seeing him, Mitsuya becomes visibly shaken and demands he leave. Seeing this emotional side of Mitsuya for the first time, Tomoya's mind races with assumptions. He later learns from Shige that Mitsuya and Kaoru were lovers ten years ago. Feeling inadequate compared to the sophisticated Kaoru, Tomoya’s anxiety spikes—but he makes a bold move to express his own feelings. Meanwhile, Kaoru makes a second visit to Mitsuya.
