- Junior ReyesNovember 7, 2025Hmm, it's hard to recommend it 100%. In the end, I'm glad I finished it. I think I understood the whole story, and I really like some of the characters, but everyone's motivations are unclear, largely because it's all vague and seems to think that's being mysterious. If you're even remotely interested in what's going on, I'd say watch the whole thing. But there are no new developments, no new technology, no new training. There's no romance that progresses. Anyone who decides not to go beyond the first few episodes isn't missing much. The visuals and music are top-notch, but unfortunately, the story and character development don't fare any better. It's more of a style anime than a substance anime. The sad reality is that even if Netflix had invested a ton of money in promoting it, they would never see a positive return on investment, unfortunately. They probably knew that beforehand, and that's why...
- TheMisGuidedTitanApril 14, 2025I don’t believe WIT has ever missed on any anime they’ve produced, Moonrise is a superbly done series, like most decent anime stories it leaves a lot of questions not answered as the story progresses, one can hope to find these answers in later seasons or not. The main protagonist and antagonist leave a lot to be desired especially with the typical fare of main character knows more than their letting on while supporting characters who seem intelligent proceed to act stupid and put up with the nonsense. Main Antagonist can say and do so much more to serve the story but alas this doesn’t happen either.. not sure why this is a trope that continues in Anime and most TV shows but alas it does. This by no means takes away from the beautifully animated action set pieces and gorgeously done back drops. Definitely heavy on the action which i love. It unlike a lot of shows I’ve watched kept me glued and wanting more. Heres to a season 2 sooner than later.
