Nick Moloney does double duty as a psychiatrist and an officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. Conflicts arise due to patient confidentiality, but he works things out with his D.A. friend Calvin. He also leans heavily on his ex-wife Sarah, the mother of his daughter Kate.
