Slimy advertising manager Keating persuades Samantha that she could be the Whoppa Bar Sunshine girl if she sings her song for him but Simon discovers that he has made this promise to several other people, purely to steal their ideas and makes sure Keating is barred by the advertising agencies. To cheer Samantha up he gives his permission for her to have her ears pierced, but she has had them done earlier in the day.
