A "Twin Peaks"-like series. "Maximum Bob" is an ultra right-wing conservative judge in Florida who has a psychic ex-marine show mermaid for a wife. The sheriff is a widower who ballroom dances. The public defender is a spitfire from Miami. And somehow, there is a family of truly odd individuals, all with the same type of glasses. The jury's out on the sanity level, but it is based on Elmore Leonard, after all.

His satisfaction is short-lived when two Federal agents arrive, claiming that she's a federal operative. Determined to get to the bottom of things, Bob spies on Rosellen and in the process gets captured and held hostage by Cuban Freedom Fighters. E5Good Dog KarlKathy befriends a dog that saved her life. Meanwhile, the whole town is up in arms over a beast of some sort that attacked a young woman, biting off three fingers. According to witnesses (the Crowe family) the beast was either a Gatorman or the Okeechobee Wolfman. Judge Gibbs hires an exorcist to cast out Wanda Grace.
