Right away, Hikaru asks Daigo about advice for joining a local baseball team, but being Daigo, being completely off-put by baseball, gives Hikaru a rude answer. That evening, Daigo's mother, Kaoru, receives a request for help from the Dolphins' manager, Fujii: "We don't have enough players for the practice match this weekend, can we borrow Daigo?"
