A little German town located on the Bavarian and Thuringian border gets caught in the current of world history at the end of the Second World War. Family, friends and lovers are separated from each other, first by a wooden fence, later by a border with shoot-to-kill order. "Tannbach" is a German-German story under the burning glass, exemplified by the fate of a small village community.
