Season 1

Legally Brown is an Australian comedy television series screening on SBS from 23 September 2013.

The ten-part series is hosted and co-written by comedian Nazeem Hussain and produced by Johnny Lowry. It features stand-up in front of a live studio audience, interspersed with pre-recorded scripted comedy sketches as well as character and hidden camera stunts.

    Episode 1In tonight's first episode, we meet some of the comical and controversial characters, including Uncle Sam, a taxi driver turned Prime Ministerial candidate and Imran Farook, a spiritual leader with some challenging advice for his clientele. Plus Nazeem hits the streets with a hidden camera in 'The People Smuggling Experiment'.

    Episode 2Nazeem takes to the streets ready to sign autographs and pose for photos as 'ethnic' celebrities - Sachin Tendulkar, will.i.am and Jackie Chan, to see if anyone will spot the difference. The Prince of Mumbai is going speed dating to find an Aussie bride, and fast. Uncle Sam continues on the campaign trail for Prime Minister, and thinks tackles the controversial issue of gay marriage. Meanwhile, there's a new kid on the block. He's five years old, and may just be the world's cutest terrorist.

    Episode 3Nazeem Hussain hosts this outrageously funny comedy series, parodying many aspects of Australian culture, including race relations, local and international politics and pop culture. In this episode, 'The Hollywood Arab' gives a cooking lesson, there's a scandal in the Muslim Shore household and Imran Farook displays his psychic abilities in 'Spirit Time'. Meanwhile, the white intervention is enforced in 'Flip World', and Nazeem tackles antisocial behaviour in his latest experiment.

    Episode 4The Prince of Mumbai has become a restaurateur and offers an indecent proposal to unsuspecting couples on dinner dates. A focus group gives their feedback on some unusual fake products. The Indian Action Hero takes on a litterbug, Bollywood style. Uncle Sam hits the streets ready to reignite the republic debate and get rid of that pesky Queen. Another royal, Prince Harry, has come to Australia to party on a schoolies style gap year, and is introduced to some Aboriginal locals.

    Episode 5In Spirit Time, Imran Farook offers his take on spiritual yoga, or 'spoga'. The Prince of Mumbai is casting hopeful girls for his new reality series Make Me a Princess. Nazeem is on the streets as a charity collector with a bucket, but definitely without a cause. Prince Harry's humanitarian, army hero body double Gary is here to help him keep up royal appearances while he is partying hard on his gap year.

    Episode 6The Hollywood Arab is still on a search for a new career path, and is teaching an art class with a twist. Petition in hand, Nazeem campaigns to raise awareness of some particularly pesky first world problems. A theological debate about cheese rocks the Muslim Shore house. Uncle Sam has a radical plan to move all Muslims to Tasmania, to create the great state of 'Islamania'.

    Episode 7Imran Farook is back to make a guest invisible in Spirit Time. In his latest social experiment, Nazeem is making more unusual, illegal deliveries from the back of his dodgy truck to see if anyone will stop him, or turn a blind eye. Tension is building in the Muslim Shore house as some serious hygiene issues are revealed. A range of race-specific toy dolls are unleashed on the public.

    Episode 8In Flip World, casting auditions are taking place for the token white best friend in a romantic comedy. Uncle Sam attempts to secure the grey vote and takes his campaign to the elderly. Nazeem helps a group of recent immigrants by teaching them a lesson in Australian culture 101. The Indian Action Hero takes on a street gang armed with a burger, and The Hollywood Arab tries a spot of shopping.

    Episode 9In Spirit Time, Imran Farook is cleansing spirits during 'spoga', or spirit yoga. It's Ramadan in the Muslim Shore house and the fasting housemates are in for a big surprise - an arranged marriage. The Prince of Mumbai tries to win over the ladies of Sydney with stand-up comedy. Nazeem carries out spot citizenship tests to gauge whether Aussies are fit to live in the country.

    Episode 10Uncle Sam gives his Islamic Australia dream one last chance by making it onto the news. Imran Farook gives some particularly deep spiritual makeovers in Spirit Time. In Flip World where White Australians are the minority, there's an alarming security incident at the airport. Nazeem hits the streets in a social experiment to test public generosity for some controversial 'causes'.
