Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney were best friends and roommates coping with dates, neighbors, and each other During the late '50s and early '60s they worked as bottlecappers for Shotz Brewery in Milwaukee. They moved to Burbank, California in 1965 to start a new life when they got replaced at the brewery by an automated bottlecapper.

When Sonny breaks his arm and is unable to do the act, Shirley takes over throwing the knives at Laverne, which makes Laverne extremely nervous since she knows that Shirley is already upset with her.

    The Road to BurbankThere is a dispute over who should pay the bill when Lenny and Squiggy trash a hotel room on their way to California and try to blame it on Laverne and Shirley. This leads to the telling of two different versions of what happened that night: one where Lenny and Squiggy are chasing the girls all night, and the other where the girls are feeling feisty and chase the boys around the room.

    Malibu MansionThe girls are hired to house sit at the Malibu beachfront mansion of the owner of the Cowboy Bill's chain of restaurants. While he is away for the weekend, the girls throw a beach party which gets gate crashed by a gang of bikers. The girls manage to clean the place up just in time, but the owner's talking pet parrot threatens to spill the beans.

    To Tell the TruthOn a rainy night, Rhonda brings over a game called "Truth" for the girls and their friends to play. Players must reply honestly but the sharp arrows of truth trigger a night of verbal fights between all.

    I Do, I DoThe girls meet two British band-mates, who take them to a Hollywood party. In an attempt to avoid drug use going on, they eat "brownies" instead. The end result causes them to agree to marry the two, who'll pay less taxes by having wives.

    But Seriously, Folks . . .Carmine decides to take a shot at stand-up comedy, but when his act almost fails, he decides to make jokes at his friends' expense. Ultimately making them feel humiliated. Will Carmine cut it out or carry on carelessly?

    The Bardwell Caper (1)Disappointed after not receiving the customary tri-monthly $5.00 raise, Laverne and Shirley write a nasty letter to their boss. At the end of the day, it is revealed that they DID get a raise, after all, but also that the nasty letter is sitting, unopened, on the boss's desk - waiting to be read the next morning. Desperate to save their jobs, Laverne and Shirley go home and try to hatch a plan to get that letter back, before morning.

    Fifth AnniversaryEdna and all think Frank has forgotten his 5th wedding anniversary, making Edna furious. The girls and the boys play peacemaker for the two and have an anniversary party in the couple's unstable trailer home.

    Laverne's Broken LegAfter she has to miss a party because of her broken leg, Laverne sits at home alone and falls asleep while watching It's A Wonderful Life on TV. She then dreams what life would be like for her friends and her family if she had never been born.

    Sing, Sing, SingCarmine and Shirley perform a beautiful duet at Cowboy Bill's. Laverne too, wants to sing as pretty a song as they did. Carmine gives her voice lessons and Lenny also tries to help, but it just may be Squiggy has the real answer for her.

    Child's PlayShirley's new play is a wild take on Mother Goose. Her friends in lead roles. Enter a Broadway Impresario wanting a preview. Giving Lenny and Squiggy an address to the theatre, they promptly lose it. Is it onto Broadway? Or off the deep end?
