Gillian is unhappy with Gary's suggestion that he employs Raff, rather than the boy attend university, and also pays for her wedding to Robbie - particularly as Raff and Robbie agree with Gary on both counts. Caroline is appalled when John suggests they reconcile for Flora's sake though when Holly proves to be unsuitable Caroline receives much welcomed help from a surprising source. Meanwhile Gillian is shocked by a story in the local paper.
