Faber is in the hospital ward with a broken leg with old Taco and Snoek. In the middle of the night, old Taco tells Faber to take care of the map of buried loot he has been safeguarding. Snoek, who already won has most of Taco's possessions in a game of cards and is being released the next day, offers to dig up the loot for them, but the two older men don't trust him and refuse.
