I believe the series tries to justify the wife’s betrayal by wrapping it in emotional music and dramatic scenes to push the audience into sympathizing with her. From my perspective, the husband did nothing wrong — he consistently tried to support her, advise her, and improve their life together. To me, she comes across as selfish and entitled from the very beginning. Her treatment of her husband was poor even before her illness. Situations like the coffee machine scene show that she blames him for things that are actually her own shortcomings, such as not knowing how to use what he bought for her. He genuinely tried to help her in every possible way. He made sure his efforts were safe and appropriate while searching for a donor for her. He spent all his money, was beaten and humiliated in the process, and endured everything for her sake. Yet she did not appreciate any of it — instead, she humiliated him even more, failed to respect him, and went as far as demonizing him. Illness is not an excuse for cheating. Portraying her as a victim feels like emotional manipulation — normalizing betrayal by packaging it in a sympathetic, sentimental narrative. My opinion is clear and firm: the show tries to steer the audience toward empathizing with and justifying infidelity instead of allowing viewers to form their own independent judgment.
