A high-spirited old Frenchman is dismissed from his teaching job at a stuffy British school because of the racy stories he tells the students. Being mistaken for an art dealer who deals in forgeries, he's kidnapped and taken to a country estate. His captors expect him to swindle a rich young man, but the old teacher may not cooperate.
