Kim's Convenience tells the funny and heartfelt story of the Kim family. Mr. and Mrs. Kim are Korean Canadian convenience store owners who have worked hard to give their now-twenty-something children, Janet and Jung, a better life in Canada. This single camera comedy finds laughter in the trials of running a literal 'Mom and Pop' shop while raising kids in a culture not quite your own.

- stevencaceres245June 26, 2025What a great fun show this was! I would’ve missed this, but I somehow stumbled upon it on Netflix. I am guilty of. “ if the key art sucks, I’m not going to watch it.” And that is to my own detriment because I’ve probably missed out on a lot of great shows due to bad art. Don’t miss this comedy. It is binge bowl and a lot of fun.

They say write what you know and Choi managed to delight us with his characters while sharing a bit of the Asian Canadian experience and lots of laughs! Plus, a pinch of Simu Lu's abs never hurts.
