Season 1

Part comedy, part documentary, part social study, this new comedy documentary series sees Kenny Smyth undertake an "ex-poo-dition" to explore the septic wonders of the world. First up is Japan and it all moves along wildly as Kenny marvels at latrine-themed cartoons, toilet television programs, ceramic ornaments and even a toilet temple.

    U.S.A - Italy - LuxembourgFor Kenny, the Big Apple is "totally bananas!" but he's right at home when he visits New York's version of Splashdown - Mr. John - where 8,000 portaloos are in service around the city daily. In Rome he takes a trip to tourist icon the Colosseum where one of the world's oldest sewers is still operating, and from Rome he travels to Luxembourg and discovers some high art by conceptual artist Wim Delvoye that literally stinks.

    EgyptThis week Kenny takes a ride through the desert to visit the Pyramids where he meets up with a surprise visitor. On a trip to the Sphinx he meets the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Dr Dahi Hawass to find out more about the Pyramids and Ancient Egypt. In Cairo he gets a private tour of the Egyptian Museum from the Dr Wafaa El-Saddik the General Director and learns of the importance of the humble Dung Beetle, and visits a shop where stink sells.

    Germany to RussiaKenny is right at home in Munich at Oktoberfest with a large beer in hand, before he heads underground to sniff out the smells, sights & sounds of Cologne. In Moscow he learns how Cosmonauts do their do-do's in space, and becomes the first Cosmonaut Space plumber.

    Sweden - Denmark - UKKenny goes way up into the Arctic Circle to be met by Jackie who takes him on a dogsled ride to the famous 'Ice Hotel'. The entire hotel from floor to ceiling is created from frozen and clear water that has been loaned from the nearby Torne River. Kenny then visits a village where for the past ten years people from all around the world have come to stay and live as the Vikings did centuries ago. While there Kenny takes part in their midwinter celebrations. From Sweden Kenny takes a trip to Copenhagen to check out Herring in Denmark and how they nearly started a war, and then goes in search of what's great in Great Britain, including a visit to the Loo of the Year awards where he is a special guest.

    IndiaIndia - a country of contrasts, a country where half the population don't have access to proper sanitation. In this very emotional episode Kenny meets the Dalit women of Alwar in Rajisthan, a caste of "untouchables" not considered part of society. He accompanies them on their collection rounds as they clean the streets of human excrement ringing bells so that the townsfolk can avoid them. But he also meets a group of volunteers who have set up a school to educate these beautiful women and their children and try to break them out of the caste cycle. In Deli, while attending the World Toilet Summit and Expo, Kenny is invited to give a speech, and he catches up with tv commercial director Prahlad Kakaar who has made a film called 'Bumbay' to raise awareness of the sanitation problems the city of Mumbai faces today.
