Sakhu and Janki refute Tatya Dixit's claim when he says that the gift for Gangadhar came from their own province. Tatya Tope leaves Gangadhar's court with a rejection from Gangadhar. It is Moti, who had replaced the Peshwa's gift with a dead lizard. Captain Manson is shocked on seeing Manu alive while she investigates her accident. Later, Gangadhar meets Tatya Tope and accepts the marriage proposal.
