After female villagers quench these girls' thirst, they seek vainly to recruit the villagers. Vahini spots muddy footprints in the palace and is told by Indu that Manu has returned with Prachi from an outdoor visit. Manu convinces Vahini that she was in Laal Tila to collect mud to buff Peshwa's silvery plate. Manu secretly enters Manson's home at night to punish him.
