She narrates the kind of mayhem that was unleashed by the British at Samar's sister's wedding, and the chain of events from that moment on till date. How the British had conspired at every step against Jhansi. Laxmibai demands justice from the King of Jhansi. However, he merely walks away without answering. Laxmibai is hurt and disappointed at his lack of trust in her. Gangadhar informs Raghunath that he will be setting off on a secretive journey. Laxmibai is surprised to hear that the king has gone away without even informing her. Moropant tells her that Gangadhar must have gone to remarry. Laxmibai is distraught hearing this and says that she doesn't deserve to stay in the palace anymore. However, she vows to remove the British battalion from Jhansi before leaving, even if it meant stepping over a queen's limits.
