However, John retorts that the ban period was already over. Left with no choice, Nelson stops torturing Samar and Karma and asks his men to take them to their cell. Sakhubai, Jankibai and Lacho display fake concern and advise Gangadhar to remarry so that Jhansi is assured of an heir. Gangadhar gets furious and retorts that Jhansi will soon have an heir. Daima tells Gangadhar that if given healthy food and taken proper care of, the queen will be able to beget an heir soon. However, Gangadhar orders John to leave the palace at once. Laxmibai promises Gangadhar that they will win the case but Gangadhar replies that his decision remains firm. Not the one to give up easily, Laxmibai rings the bell to seek justice from the king and compels him to hear her plea.
