Samar tries to dissuade her but she remains firm and asks him to tackle matters peacefully. Gangadhar reads Nelson's letter informing him about the arrival of British battalion in Jhansi because of the poor law and order situation in Jhansi. Nelson then reminds the king of how Laxmibai rescued the prisoners from British custody in spite of Gangadhar's orders to arrest them. Gangadhar is embarrassed and questions Tatya Tope about Nelson's allegations. Tatya Tope informs Gangadhar about the mayhem in Samar's village, and how Nelson had violated Gangadhar's order.
