Nelson barges into Gangadhar's court and introduces himself as John Nelson, a special agent appointed by Lord Dalhousie to tackle the mismanagement in Jhansi. Nelson accuses the king of not punishing the Rajputs for spreading anarchy in the region. As proof, he shows the murdered body of Ross holding Samar Singh's golden locket presented by the king. Gangadhar is compelled to sign Samar's arrest warrant. However, Gangadhar warns Nelson to arrest Samar only after his sister's wedding
