Motibai apologises to Laxmibai for getting Jhalkari to the palace. However, she says that her intentions were noble. Motibai had come to Jhalakri's house and requested her father to allow Jhalkari to impersonate the Queen of Jhansi for a while. Lacho and her son who were hiding had later threatened Jhalkari to be the queen if she wanted to protect her family. Shivram invites Gangadhar and Aaishri for his daughter Chimnabais wedding with Moropant. Tatya Guru threatens Jhalkari to reveal the name of the person at whose behest she was continuing with the act, but Aaishri walks in just then. Later, when Aaishri sees Motibai in the palace, she reminds Motibai that courtesans are not allowed in the palace.
