Laxmibai attacks them and finds that they are British soldiers in the disguise of royal guards. Sakhubai is worried that she will be caught. Gangadhar is worried that the moneylenders are charging a high interest from the poor farmers. Jankibai taunts Sakhubai when she sees her so restless. Samar and Laxmibai follow Sakhubai and her servant. Sakhubai goes to the place where she has hidden all the treasure she stole from the royal treasury.
