Psychologist Júlia (Margarida Vila-Nova) visits Sara's (Laura Dutra) and Luísa's (Paula de Magalhães) school at the request of her friend Leonor (Soraia Chaves). Rita Rodrigues (Helena Caldeira), a young mother, desperately appeals to institutions for help to regain custody of her baby daughter, who was taken from her by a social worker. A series of dramatic events culminates in the tragic death of a young woman. The sea, silent and imposing, is the only witness to the crime, harboring deep secrets that challenge everyone's understanding.
