Where to Watch Season 2013
6 Episodes
- March to JusticeE1
March to Justice"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." Nearly fifty years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. proclaimed these words as he called for racial equality after completing the historic voting rights march from Selma to Montgomery in Alabama. But the question still remains today: has the United States of America made true progress in becoming a society in which all people are treated as equals? Reflecting on our nation's ongoing pursuit of equal rights, Investigation Discovery presents ID FILMS: MARCH TO JUSTICE produced exclusively for ID by NBC News' Peacock Productions. With unprecedented access to a civil rights pilgrimage attended by champions of the movement and three generations of the Kennedy family, MARCH TO JUSTICE premieres exclusively on Investigation Discovery on Monday, February 25 at 8 PM (E/P). - Whitey Bulger: The Making of a MonsterE2
Whitey Bulger: The Making of a MonsterAfter 16 years on the FBI's ‘Most Wanted' list, infamous Irish Mafia boss James "Whitey" Bulger was apprehended on June 22, 2011, in a rent-controlled, each front apartment in Santa Monica, CA. To those who only knew him by an alias, few could have guessed that the man who left milk on his doorstep for neighborhood cats was, in fact, a fugitive crime boss believed to have killed at least 19 people, a calculating mastermind whose criminal empire extended across the country, and, unlike other upper echelon crime figures, an FBI informant who operated under the protection of the country's most powerful law enforcement agency for 20 years. Produced by Northern Light Productions, an official production company of The Mob Museum in Las Vegas, and based on the book Whitey: The Life of America's Most Notorious Mob Boss by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neil, WHITEY BULGER: THE MAKING OF A MONSTER digs deep into the mind of a psychopath, exploring the roots of Bulger's insatiable need for power and control. WHITEY BULGER: THE MAKING OF A MONSTER premieres Monday, June 3 at 10 PM E/P as part of Investigation Discovery's ID FILMS documentary strand. - House of Horrors: Kidnapped In ClevelandE4
House of Horrors: Kidnapped In ClevelandInvestigation Discovery has scheduled an hour special about the kidnappings of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight. Airing about a month after the three women were rescued from suspect Ariel Castro's Seymour Avenue home, "House of Horrors: Kidnapped in Cleveland" will premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5. A cable channel specializing in true-crime programming, Investigation Discovery bills "House of Horrors" as one of its "instamentaries" -- quick turnaround specials about breaking news stories. The three women were rescued after a decade of captivity when Berry made a 911 call on May 6. An Investigation Discovery press release describes "House of Horrors": "When police arrived at the home where Berry had been held captive, the scene was one out of a horror movie and something that would leave even the most seasoned investigators shaken. Investigation Discovery explores the developments in the case so far . . . The one-hour documentary explores how one man kept them captive for so long, and delves into what happened to Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight, and Georgina 'Gina' DeJesus while examining the long term psychological challenges survivors of such traumatic experiences face." - Inside WacoE5
Inside WacoThe hour-long Arrow Media-produced film will use hundreds of hours of audio recordings to recreate the events of the siege which lasted 50 days and ended in tragedy. ID Films: Inside Waco will tell the story of the events using audio ecordings made between the FBI and cult leader David Koresh and other Branch Davidians. Discovery commissioning executives Winona Meringolo and Jane Latman ordered the film for Investigation Discovery.
