Trouble in Turkey.

What started as a rally opposing the building of a mall in Istanbul’s Gezi Park ended up morphing into weeks of large-scale protests against the government.

And it turned ugly. At least five people were killed and many more injured in the clashes.

Protesters accused Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of becoming authoritarian and deliberately dividing people along class and religious lines. But his supporters says he’s lifted the country out of recession and brought stability to their country.

Has Erodogan been good for Turkey? Are the protests about the urban environment, class, religion, a park "¦ or something far more complex?

This week on Insight, we bring together Turkish Australians to discuss what’s behind the unrest, and whether there is a deep rift within the Turkish population.
