Sarah Marquardt is on cloud nine. The administrative head of the Sachsenklinik (Saxony Clinic) has finally found the man of her life. The big day is approaching: She and lawyer Benjamin Wittenberg are getting married. Sarah's mother and sister have arrived. Their anticipation is high, but is dampened when Katja Marquardt has a car accident and needs surgery. Sarah wants to postpone the wedding, but her sister won't allow it. Then everyone is gathered in the church. The music starts. Everyone is spellbound. Where is the bride? Sarah has panicked and doesn't want to enter the church. Her bridesmaids, Pia Heilmann and Dr. Elena Eichhorn, are horrified. But her father, Professor Simoni, puts his foot down, and Sarah proudly walks down the aisle at his side. Happily, she finally says "I do." Then Benjamin collapses beside her.
