Murray is a nice guy. Everyone says so. So no-one is more surprised than Murray when, on her 40th birthday, his wife walks out on him. So begins Murray's quest to discover what went wrong and how to win her back.

Episode 2Murray tries to persuade Bex that a holiday is just what they need to repair their relationship, but she leaves him heartbroken at the airport. The couple try to hide the truth from their families with unexpected results.

Episode 3Murray is forced to attend a meeting that Bex is also attending as she seeks help with her charity fundraiser. She is not impressed when Murray can't help her, forcing him to come up with a show-stopping idea.

Episode 4In an effort to win back Bex Murray takes her to the Italian restaurant where he first proposed but is perturbed to find Julian Wolverton there, as well as a married colleague waiting for a blind date. Other complications follow, including a fight with Julian, and the evening is a disaster, not helped by the fact that Bex has a job offer in Birmingham.

Episode 6With Bex about to leave for Birmingham Murray is determined to stop her and intends to make an impassioned plea at Don and Paula's anniversary party but in the mean time finds a positive pregnancy test in her room at her sister's flat and gets the wrong idea. Predictably he airs his faux pas at the party but trusts that his devotion and sincerity will be enough to win his wife back.
