Victor discovers the stolen key to the attic on the floor of his office and demands that whoever returned it come forward. In a show of solidarity, everyone admits that they returned it. Fabian and Nina visit Fabian's antique dealer uncle to identify the mysterious ceramic cylinders that they found in the locked box. Fabian's uncle identifies them as early Edison phonographic cylinders.
