In Bad Grenzbrunn, a well-known spa during the Habsburg era, the Polan family's luxurious hotel welcomes guests from all over the world. One envies the Jewish family their possessions and tries to force them out of the place. When the First World War broke out, Filip Polan did not have his regular guests interned as “enemies”, but kept them in the hotel at his own risk.
