    Sophie's WorldWe remember the grand finale of the second season: Sophie's civil wedding ends without a wedding ceremony, but in a wild chase, because it turns out that the registrar is none other than "Marilyn", the jewel thief who has already escaped Sophie several times. And it is precisely in the middle of this chase that the third season of "Murder with a View" begins. For Sophie, her wedding in one fell swoop is secondary. She, Bärbel and Dietmar are hot on Marilyn's heels, but they are – once again! –Escapes. But the police colleagues are not so easily shaken off by the provincial criminals. But that's not all: While Sophie's father Hannes moves to Poland with Danuta completely unexpectedly, Sophie's almost-husband Jochen Kauth loses his strength: The failed wedding has shown him once again that he wants a life with Sophie, but it will never work out together. In the end, Sophie sits alone in the forester's lodge.

    The carportEven though Hannes, Danuta and Kauth are gone, the new loneliness in the forester's lodge is no reason for Sophie to hang her head, and so she decides to make herself nice in Hengasch. Professionally, she investigates the murder of Ines, Jan Schulte's cousin. The 21-year-old had been working for several months as an intern at the town hall, where her body was also found. During the investigation, Pit, the friend of the dead, and Fräulein Berger, the jealous secretary of Mayor Hans Zwanziger, first come under suspicion. Jan Schulte himself, who obviously has money problems and who shares a common inheritance with his dead cousin, is also targeted by the investigation. In the end, however, everything is completely different. In order to advance professionally, she blackmailed mayor Hans Zwanziger. With so many motives, Sophie Haas and her team have to pull out to find the murderer.

    Goulash for the hostage-takerSophie is so depressed about her failed wedding and the sudden departure of her father that she lets everything slide. She doesn't clean up anymore, doesn't clean and she has no interest in her work. Not even in the new case: Prisoner Romanski has escaped from the Koblenz prison and his escape could lead via Hengash. At the station, Bärbel shows signs of fatigue as she has to stand in for her sick brother on the farm. Dietmar, on the other hand, is in a good mood, after all, Heike cooks his favorite goulash. That's when Dietmar receives the shocking news: The gangster has taken Heike hostage. When Heike and Romanski start talking, she learns that he has broken out to save his marriage. The caring Heike shows empathy for him and offers goulash to the hungry hostage-taker. Sophie manages to stage a diversionary maneuver and overwhelm Romanski. Dietmar's mother Irmtraud suddenly appears at the door with her suitcases packed – much to Heike's horror.

    The Last CurtainSophie ens her slump and starts a new friendship with her ex Kauth. Dietmar's mother wants to stay longer. Her apartment burned down and now that the owner is considering the demolition of the whole house, she should look for a new place to stay, but doesn't. Bärbel still has her burden with the court, which is also slowly showing in her work. At the Gasthof Aubach, the local amateur play by the retired history teacher Kredder will once again be performed. He has been working on the history of Hengasch and has already brought to light some interesting background information about the Eifel village. When he is shot during his play, the first suspicion falls on the shooter Zielonka. It comes to light that Kredder has been researching dark family secrets from the Nazi era. Sophie and Kauth don't manage to put their resolution to remain friends into practice. They do exactly what a couple who have almost been married before and now want to switch to friendship does: they end up in bed.

    Someone has to singIt is the day of the mayoral election. Singing brother Hermann lies slain behind the Gasthof Aubach. In his hand he holds a ballot paper that has already been filled out – for Zielonka. Could the murder have been politically motivated?

In the holiday park "Das Paradies", which is almost exclusively inhabited and managed by Dutch people, the chip shop owner, Jaap Mulders, lies dead in a pool of "Saté-Saus". Initial investigations show that the mood among the bungalow park residents is rather tense. Lieke, the wife of park operator van Uffelen, had an affair with the owner of the chip shop. However, it quickly turns out that Mulders wanted to put an end to the liaison. Was jealousy the motive? Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel are "supported" in their investigations by Jos de Jong, a retired commissioner from the island of Texel. For Sophie, however, it is also getting tight privately, because Kauth is apparently getting worse and worse with the new non-binding nature of their relationship.

    Love Hotel TraubeIn order to get upset about the conceited Schulte with her best friend Doro, Sophie goes on a hiking excursion that ends at the hotel "Traube". There, Sophie is sure that she witnessed a murder, and although there is no body, she does not let up. Finally, she discovers that the hotel is a popular place to go for city dwellers who long for amorous adventures with the male Eifel population. Among them are masseur Würselen, shop owner and nude cleaner Assenmacher and the former baker Lindenhofen. But the suspicion is initially directed at none other than Heike Schäffer, who has also booked herself into the Hotel Traube under a false name. Sophie and Schulte get closer again – but this time it is Sophie who sets the pace. Dietmar and Heike get along again and Irmtraud moves in with Aunt Klärchen.

    Saint KennedyOn the St. Martin's procession, Willich, the horse driver of St. Martin, is shot. Jan Schulte, who played St. Martin during the procession, suffers a grazing shot. But who was the assassination aimed at, Schulte or Willich? On the one hand, no man in Hengasch is really good at talking to the heavy killer Willich, as he has attacked pretty much every woman. On the other hand, Schulte's unpopular decision to build a new daycare center has drawn the ire of the conservative people of Hengasch in particular – and what role does the masseur Würselen, who is already known to us, play in this, who apparently used to stretch Schulte's girlfriend?

    Death of a roadieThe band "Fraktus" consisting of Torsten, Dickie and Bernd, makes a stop in Hengasch after their performance at "Rock am Ring", which ends in a wild and drug-filled party at the Gasthof Aubach. And in the middle of it all, Sophie and Schulte. The next morning, Sophie wakes up: film tear! And to make matters worse, roadie Gonzo is dead in the borders. His pregnant girlfriend Cherry is devastated. During her investigation, Sophie has her hands full trying to get a grip on the childish egomaniacs of "Fraktus" and solve the case. Which is not exactly easy for her, after all, she can't remember anything.
