James is kidnapped by the people he owes money to. Mark and Donna follow them and in the ensuing mêlée James tries to escape and is shot in the shoulder. Donna drives him to Holby and he is admitted to AEU where Elliott eventually has to operate on him and he learns the full story of James's addiction. Meanwhile, Louise returns to Holby and Dan is torn between her and Maddie - who will he choose?
