Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess aims to create a hip-hop girl group that will be inspired by hip-hop, K-pop and J-pop. The show will combine elements of Mnet's previous girl group survival shows (Produce 101, Girls Planet 999, I-LAND 2) and the format of the previous seasons of Unpretty Rapstar to create a 'cultural exchange' of talent from South Korea and Japan that runs through the cultural codes of both countries, such as fashion and lifestyle, as well as music. Participants will actively participate in all areas of creation, including lyrics, composition, and choreography, and carry out missions to express their own colors and to create a growth story not only through competition but also through collaboration.
